A proactive, multi-tasking and experienced finance assistant with working knowledge of Sage, Sun, Oracle or SAP and strong Excel skills to assist Financial Controller of a small and dynamic SME. This might suit someone studying towards an accounting accreditation. This is a varied role which will include bookkeeping, administration and customer service so confidence both on the phone and face to face is essential. My client needs someone assertive who is happy to take ownership of tasks.

Duties will include: Data capture including accounts payable functions and control. Performing bank and petty cash account functions including monthly reconciliation. Performing accounts receivable functions and control. Adhoc processing of customer invoices. Handling property-related finance matters (i.e. rates and utilities, etc.). Credit control, including liaison with customers' support with month end processes including month end journals, accruals, etc. Specified account analysis and review. Any other duties as required. Verbal and written communication with customers & suppliers.

This would be a good opportunity for a confident individual with an enquiring mind to work closely with a Chartered Accountant and acquire a range of valuable skills and experience.

Working hours 9 am to 5.30 pm, Monday to Friday.

Due to location own transport essential
