Hours are 36 over four or five days! and there can be flexibility regarding work patterns.

We have an excellent opportunity for an ICT Technician to join an expanding IT Team at a well-established educational institution.

The educational institution is at the forefront of efficient & effective systems and has a vision of raising achievements through Information and Communications Technology. Based in Reigate.

The ICT Technician responsibilities will include;

Install and maintain computer hardware, clients, laptops, iPads, iMacs, MacBook’s, audio/visual equipment and peripherals
Maintain an up to date inventory of ICT equipment, and ensure cleanliness of equipment
Assist with the expansion of the network infrastructure including switches, cabling and wireless network equipment
Routine administration including data backups, maintenance
Software installation, maintenance and upgrading
Maintain up to date workstation images and deploying them where necessary
Administration and development of Internet, Intranet and E-mail systems, including learning platforms and the institutions website would be desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
To keep abreast of technological developments and encourage the use of ICT at all levels
To support staff and students with the use of ICT
To support staff and students with the set-up and preparation of ICT equipment
Report any detected breach of the institution’s ICT acceptable use policy to the ICT Network Manager
To be aware of the health and safety policy and to assist in carrying out the responsibilities detailed therein
To support Assemblies and Open Evenings which will include setting up Audio Visual equipment etc..
A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and creative design packages such as Photoshop and Corel
Utilise internet media such as YouTube and Vimeo. This will include working occasional evenings to provide support.
Maintain stocks of spare parts and consumable items, including printer consumables
Carry out any other reasonable duties where required
