An entrepreneurial Surrey based SME looking to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper with the ability to engage in diverse and challenging tasks. As a senior Bookkeeper, you will report directly to the Financial Controller and have sole responsibility for a variety of financial tasks. You should be a multi-tasker with advanced Excel skills (including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables) and working experience of an SME accountancy package, ideally Sage 50. This is a varied role within a niche industry and would suit an individual who enjoys being part of a small, supportive team.

Your duties will include managing accounts payable and supplier payments, overseeing accounts receivable (including invoicing and credit control), performing and managing banking cash records, payments and receipts, recharging costs, assisting with monthly journals, general ledger reconciliations and month-end processes, conducting monthly sales activity reporting using Microsoft Excel, maintaining fixed assets and performing depreciation calculations monthly, assisting with quarterly VAT preparation, supporting the annual preparation of budgets, financial forecasts and the audit process.

Car driver essential due to company location. Free onsite parking.

Office based, Monday to Friday.

£36,000 per annum, depending on experience.
